  1. That is icky that they dump sewage into the beautiful Great Lakes! I would vote yes for that bill too. It seemed like a lot of the bills I looked at for this post are updates for old bills that need to be changed. I think it is good that the government is trying to get rid of the older bills that are not as environmentally friendly as they should be.

  2. As we've discussed in class, with water becoming a greater and greater concern it's even more critical than ever to protect our Great Lakes. I once toured a waste water treatment plant in a small town in Illinois. It was pretty interesting to learn that waste water was actually clean enough to drink before they would discharge it back into the local river. Not only was it "technically clean" but it looked cleaner than the tap water we drank from our faucets at home. Now if only we could get that to be the case with various industries who dump liquid wastes into the nearby lakes and rivers or even into the sewers. Great topic choice.

  3. This breaks my heart and grosses me out to think they take sewage and put it into the breath taking Great Lakes! I have swam in there before, and this just upsets me to think that people do that! I think this would be a great bill to pass!
